When starting out on your own cooking meals can be some what of a mission. It is all to easy to get stuck in a rut of microwave meals and Super Noodles, but it doesn't have to be like that. This year I'm going to be continuing my Cooking for Dummies series providing you, my dear readers, with some simple and most importantly tasty dishes to get you on your feet.

Ever since I came back from Amsterdam earlier this year, I have had an overwhelming urge to travel. So many people I met on the trip had been travelling all over Europe and hearing about their experiences got me thinking about going on my own.

I'm always one for taking care of my skin but in this weather, more than ever, it is important to treat your skin with that little bit of extra TLC ensuring to properly cleanse and moisturise. Herbalife Radiant C Daily Facial Scrub Cleanser* claims it is a "daily facial cleanser is gentle enough for all skin types. Citrus scented it will polish and scrub skin clean for a picture perfect complexion." All of the products in the line are unisex which means those of you living with your partners can happily share these products!

So now that my exams are over, and I've finally got some time to myself before I go back to uni I've got to thinking about what I would like to do this year. These aren't New Years Resolutions as such but rather things that I would like to do this year, and can hopefully make happen.

Last year my sister suggested to me and some mutual friends that we do something different for New Year's Eve, and what better way to do that than by going abroad? We were initially set on Berlin, but it worked out a lot cheaper to go to Amsterdam which we hoped would be just as fun. I had high hopes foe the trip but nothing could of topped the experience I actually had. I went with some great people, made some new friends and got to experience Amsterdam - if only for a few days.

Today I officially finished my uni exams and I have 2 and a half weeks off woohoo! Anyway... been looking at the result of my poll (on the top right hand side of this blog) and saw that everyone wanted to see more beauty posts. You can look forward to more of those this year and in the mean time here's a look a did for a night out a couple of months ago that has been hiding in the depths of my memory card featuring one of my favourite lipsticks - Ruby Woo!
The Body Shop Vitamin E moisturiser - all over face
Barry M blusher in Apricot No 5 - along cheek bones
MAC eyebrow pencil in Spiked - to outline and lightly fill
W7 Eyebrow palette - the black and dark brown shades mixed together and applied with angled brush
MUA Heaven and Earth palette - the third gold shade along the top row swept and blended across lid
Collection Extreme 24 Hour Liner Pen in Electric Blue (looks black) - along lashline
MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara - 2 coats
MAC Prep and Prime Lip - applied as base
MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo
What about you guys? What do you think of this look? Where would you wear it? Let me know!
